Urgent Prayer Request: Charley in the ICU

Friends of Charley,

Charley needs your prayers at this moment. Last night, he had fevers and the doctors later determined that he has another gram-negative infection. They should know the strain by tomorrow morning. In the meantime, Charley is on several antibiotics.

Charley also has a gastrointestinal bleed. His platelets were low today and his body was not able to keep the platelets from his transfusion. This may be a reason for the bleed.

Charley was taken to the ICU today because he needs the Bi-Pap mask to aid his oxygen level and breathing. He is now on 7-South.

God blessed Charley today with a lower white blood count. For days, his WBC has been rising. Yesterday, it reached 63,000. But today it went down to 27,000! Praise God! Charley needs your prayer to overcome this evil infection so that God can continue his work fighting the cancer's effect on Charley.

Last night, Charley attended a healing service in Waltham. He was blessed by the prayers of so many brothers and sisters. Over the microphone, Charley proclaimed that he will not fear and that he has faith that he will overcome this battle! Go Charley!

Deborah and Nehemiah are unable to use their cell phones in the ICU. If you need to contact them, the room number is 617-355-9717.

Prayer Requests:
* Pray for quick healing of the infection so that God can continue His work in healing Charley.
* Pray for Charley's platelet levels to go back to where they were a couple days ago so that his internal bleeding can stop.
* Deborah and Nehemiah will continue to be blessed with strength to help Charley, maintain their faith, and to stay healthy.
