Charley's Update

Today, Charley remained stable. This morning, Charley's chest x-ray showed improvement in Charley's lung volume. However, the right upper lobe is showing an area of concern. We pray that these are not early signs of pneumonia.

The doctors are hoping to drop the levels of the drugs dopamine and norepinephrine, which support Charley's blood pressure. This is a very slow process as they have to carefully wean Charley off the drugs.

Also, this morning, Charley's bilirubin level was elevated. This could be caused by the infection or the medicine.

On Saturday night, Pastor Bill told Deborah that something was happening. What Deborah and Nehemiah have observed since then is a drop in Charley's WBC. Today, Charley's WBC was 900. The doctors are surprised and happy about this.

Prayer Requests:
1.) God can watch over Charley's lung and set it free of any pneumonia or other infection.
2.) The process of reducing Charley's blood pressure drugs will go smoothly.
3.) That Charley's bilirubin level can return to the normal range.
