CHARLEY NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS
Dear Friends of Charley,
Charley's challenge just got tougher. Charley spent last night in the hospital because of on-and-off fevers. His spleen and liver are still enlarged and his blast levels are getting worse. Charley's bone marrow test results show 78% blasts in his bone marrow and 35% in his peripheral blood.
Charley's parents also learned that the clinical trial they were waiting for is permanently closed to patients with leukemia. Instead, Charley will receive a low intensity chemo treatment at the clinic and at home as an attempt to slow down the progression of the leukemia. In the meantime, Deborah and Nehemiah are looking into nutritional means of helping Charley.
Fortunately, Charley is on his way home now and certainly will feel happier there than in the hospital. However, today has been a tough day for Charley and his parents, grandmom and those who are hands-on helping Charley's family. Charley and his family need you and your prayer group to pray for Charley's recovery.
Prayer Requests:
* Continue to lead Charley on the road to win the battle of fighting leukemia. Lord, your power is greater than any and we pray that you heal Charley.
* Please provide Deborah and Nehemiah with a clearer path as they work to help their son through integrated treatments.
* Bless Deborah and Nehemiah with the all that they need from their family and friends. They were so fortunate to have a dear friend by their side today. We pray that you continue to bring support to them.
