April 12, 2007; Thursday morning
Charley’s blood pressure is stable without any medication. In order to palliate his belly pain, a narcotic has been added yesterday besides methadone. However, Charley becomes disoriented.
His lungs have fluid accumulation after continuous IV fluid. His respiratory function and oxygen supply are not sufficient consequently. This morning, Charley does not cooperate to hold oxygen tube or mask. Doctors are considering the respiratory incubator if Charley’s oxygen supply becomes a problem. As of 10:30 am, Charley took sedative medicine and fell asleep. The oxygen mask is helpful at this moment.
Please continue to pray:
· that Charley's lungs will clear with treatment
· that Charley’s belly pain will be palliated by an effective and safe pain management
