Combination Update from Madeline and Nehemiah

Chinese Association of Healing

Brian and Paulina Visit (with Cousin Maria)

Maria, Annalisa, and Charley

I heard from Charley's dad and mom today (July 3) about this weekend. On Saturday (June 30), they had to bring him to CHB emergency room because of fever and severe stomach & bottom pains. They did testing of his gallbladder and pancreas and it seems that the gallbladder is having a hard time accepting fat in his diet.

From Nehemiah: "His fever was gone as we arrived at the ER. A preventive antibiotic was given for 24 hrs' coverage. Charley's pain at the bottom and left leg seemed improved. Thank God Charley has no pancreatitis or gallbladder malfunction according to his lab results. However, it may take time his gallbladder will be fully recovered to accept fat. His sharp pain in his belly and bottom may be caused by the cramping of gallbladder (not confirmed by radiological exam). Charley has relied on TPN for months and feeding tube for weeks. His G-I system is idle for a long period of time. We need to pray for a step-by-step recovery.

Charley was energetic after taking a nap and enjoyed having dinner with Maria (his cousin). The Doctors felt comfortable on discharging him. We stayed at the ER from 12:30-6:30PM.

Charley planned to attend a healing service 4PM in Waltham, MA provided by Chinese Association of Healing Rooms (Rhode Island based and serving NYC and Boston areas). In addition to having an intercession for Charley while he was still at the ER, they were willing to wait for Charley's attendance. Charley was quite comfortable having fellowship with the prayer group in Mandarin. They prayed for: i) healing Charley's entire organs and cells, ii) that Charley can attend the first grade in August as other kids and iii) parents have strength. They read Psalm 91 before closing the 40-minutes healing service. Nehemiah was touched by every verse, particularly verses 15 and 16:
"I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him, and honor him.
With a long life I will satisfy him,
And let him behold My salvation."

We got home around 9:30 PM. We were so happy that Charley had no need to be admitted to the hospital.

We are sort of relaxing at home today. Charley and Maria drew their favored cat in the morning and then watched Charley's favored DVD: Ultraman Cosmos. In the afternoon, the social worker from VNA came to play with Charley.

Charley's energy is fully restored in the evening. He resumes signing and dancing while taking a shower as he did before the relapse in Feb. Amazingly, he asks several courses of favored dishes as his late dinner. The parents and Maria are extremely joyful as Charley praised foods are "yummy".
